Biography
Dr. Wayesh Qarony received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2010 with Summa-Cum-Laude and Scholarship, M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Jacobs University Bremen Germany in 2013 with “Hempel Fellowship” and university scholarship, and Ph.D. in Applied Physics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2019 with HKPFS fellowship and distinction. He also studied M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy. He published more than 35 SCI journals and 1 patent with 450 citations in the field of solar cells, image sensors, and novel 2D and perovskite materials. He also attended many international conference presentations, including MRS, SPIE, PVSEC, and IEEE for >30 times.
He was a lecturer and then senior lecturer in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at AIUB. He is currently with the University of California, Davis, CA, USA as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Electrical and Computer Engineering and heading to join in Lawrence Berkeley National Lab attached with UC Berkeley, CA, USA. He is interested in optics and photonics, multispectral image sensor, nanophotonic design and fabrication of solar cells and photosensors.
